I help mid- and late-career professionals make clear, confident moves. My work blends rigorous business thinking with real-world scars from building, selling, restarting—and designing a meaningful life after a hard diagnosis.
What I do now
I split my time between writing here and building FutureIsMade, where I mentor and teach the P3R framework—Relevant, Relatable, Rememberable—to strengthen professional presence and business outcomes.
A very short story
I grew up poor but seldom felt it.
Became a skilled programmer and found a job easily.
Got fired.
Founded a couple of companies.
One caught the attention of the guy who fired me. We became partners.
It took off, gained respect, and became well-regarded. So did I. 🙂
Then I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. It scared me and stopped me in my tracks. I sold the company.
I learned to sail and crossed the Atlantic—a challenging but rewarding project.
Went to top business schools—stimulating and inspiring.
Learned to ride a motorcycle. That didn’t fly. The bike still waits for its adventure.
Retired to the south of France. Eventually, retirement turned into depression.
Then I un-retired and found what I love: inspiring people to follow new professional paths.
And the story goes on.
What shaped me
- Entrepreneurship from zero to exit — systems, hiring, brand, cash reality.
- A diagnosis at the peak — humility; energy management; designing work that serves life.
- Ocean sailing — presence, pace, and decision-making when the map ends.
- Learning loops — IMD, MIT and, more importantly, applying ideas in the wild.
